Video: Up-Skilling Accountants for Artificial Intelligence

In June 2023, A. Wahab & Co., alongside friends at AKM Global had the opportunity to present the topic “How can Accountants help themselves and their clients upskill and reskill their workforce in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics?” at the LEA Global Semi-Annual Asia Pacific Virtual Conference.

This presentation comes at an opportune moment as the world races to create, embrace, and contain AI. The World Economic Forum’s “The Future of Jobs” report estimates that by 2025, 85 million jobs may be displaced by a shift in the division of labor between humans and machines, while 97 million new roles may emerge that are more adapted to the new division of labor between humans, machines, and algorithms. This will result in 50% of all employees needing to be upskilled and reskilled to adopt new technology. Thus, as advisors, we will soon need to add “AI Consulting” to our portfolios as demand for this service grows.
